Noosa where forests meet the ocean
Volunteers from the Noosa Visitor Information Centre and the Parkyn Hut centre in Tewantin travelled to Miles on Queensland’s Western Downs last week to attend the 2021 QICA conference where the announcement was made.
We might be biased, but we think Noosa is pretty special. You’ll think so too and here's why... Noosa locals are friendly and relaxed and love the good things in life – the balmy sunshine, slow beach days and bright blue skies… the calm, relaxing beaches and rolling waves around every corner… the diverse tapestry of waterways and untouched national parks… the local, seasonal food dished up all over town by world-class chefs... the native wildlife and spectacular natural surrounds… all topped off by beautiful summery nights spent wandering Hastings Street or relaxing evenings in Noosa boutique accommodation, laidback resort vibes, glamping in the wilderness... or whatever your heart desires.
“The annual conference connects volunteers and visitor information centre teams from across the state, and while there is a conference agenda with guest speakers from the industry, the exciting aspect for us as a destination is the opportunity to showcase operators and the region through the famil program.
“This is a great opportunity for Noosa and we have no doubt that delegate numbers will be strong. Delegates also typically extend their stay beyond the conference and famil program, which will provide an economic boost to the region in a traditionally quiet time of year.”
