Ken Morrison Chief Executive of the Property Council of Australia Sydney, Australia

Category: MICE PEOPLE

Ken Morrison is the Chief Executive of the Property Council of Australia, the national representative of the property industry.

The property industry creates prosperity, jobs and strong communities. It is the largest single industry, accounting for 11.5% of GDP, and employs 1.1 million Australians, more than mining and manufacturing combined.

Ken is passionate about the future of our cities. He is a director of the Green Building Council of Australia, deputy chair of the Business Coalition for Tax Reform, sits on the executive committee of the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council, and is a Property Champion of Change promoting women in leadership roles.

Before taking up his current position in 2014, Ken was the Chief Executive of the Tourism & Transport Forum (TTF), the peak CEO forum for the tourism, aviation and transport sectors. Prior to this he held several executive positions at the Property Council of Australia, including Chief Operating Officer and NSW Executive Director.

The Property Council of Australia is the leading advocate for Australia’s $600 billion property industry.

It counts the bulk of the nation’s major investors, property owners and developers – as well as the industry’s professional service and trade providers – amongst its members. The organisation is governed by a board comprising key leaders from the industry.

As well as pursuing its core business of advocacy and public affairs, the Property Council operates learning, research, publishing and networking businesses.
