Speaking about “added value”
The organisers of the 2009 AFA conference asked Darryl to stay an extra night and perform at the gala dinner. Knowing he was an original Australian cast member of 'Les Miserables' and 'Chess' and had played the role of 'Jesus' in the 1994/95 national tour of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' opposite Jon Stevens and Deni Hines there was no better entertainment option for the gala. Darryl peeled off several of music theatre's showstoppers before ending the night with the perennial opera favorite 'Nessun Dorma'.
