Can you Help?

I have a Motel and function venue maximum capacity 100 and being located in the country 6 hours to Sydney I want to attract corporate bookings with a very small budget. What do you suggest?

I suggest you invite buyers to your venue, ask them to pay their own transport and charge a room cleaning fee. Invite their partners to accompany them on the 6 hour trip to insure good attendance. Instead of shouting meals off the menu put on a sampler plate which you can accompany with a local produce wine tasting.

They are buyers, they really want to sample everything, So now invite the local attractions to join in the sampling, it makes them feel important and you look professional and your chef will appreciate your support.

Find out what they are planning before they arrive, (no one drives 6 hours for fun) prepare a draft quote and show them the rooms they will be using and ask them if you offer a suitable discount can they book today?

Can you Help?

I am a Famil Club member and would appreciate your advice.  I have been accepted as a hosted buyer for two events; the ITB-Asia tradeshow to be held in Singapore toward the end of October 2010 and IT & CMA &CTW Asia-Pacific  tradeshow to be held in Thailand early October 2010.  My dilemma is that I will only accept one of the invitations and am not sure which one will benefit me the most.  Our organisation is looking for a destination to host our national conference in mid 2011 and we are extremely interested in the Asian region; especially Vietnam.  I would be grateful if you can offer me any insight into these tradeshows and provide me with any recommendations as to which one would be the preferred option to attend especially considering Vietnam is a desired location for us.
