JOIN FAMIL CLUB YOUR ON LINE POSTIE FOR BUSINESS EVENTS TO RECEIVE BOTH PUBLIC AND PERSONAL INVITATIONS

September Invitations below

Dear [first name]

If you are new here, you might be wondering what is the Famil club all about?

We regularly receive emails from new readers who have not seen the invitations magazine or the personal invitations before and they ask us what is the Famil Club all about, what is the catch, why would we invite you to events, functions and on tours free of charge. Is this a scam?

Definitely not, to start off, it is the venues and destinations that are inviting you to attend, and yes you must be involved in the selection of meeting and event venues to participate. Some events are open to the public like trade shows, open days, product launches etc and some are private events just for Famil Club members they are highly selective like familiarisation tours where the the investment to attract a small group of buyers is huge. To obtain these personal invitations and attend you must join the Famil club for $99 per year.

What happens at a showcase event?

We present the Venue and suppliers so you get to see first hand the quality of facilities, the staff, food and beverages. Most venues like to show you around and give a presentation, this is a great opportunity to meet the sales team that will be looking after your potential booking from start to finish.

What's included in a Famil tour?

Famil tours are usually for groups of around ten buyers a complimentary tour that incudes accommodation, food, beverages, attractions, tranfers and corporate gifts. Famil Club* never include airfares however most venues will refund fares if you book a group event with them.

We create a series of showcase events and escort you from venue to venue plus a few local attractions, so you see and experience as much as you can in the time allowed. The operators want your business and are investing in the future of the destination.

We are publishers we never charge commissions so you get the best rate possible and you deal direct so you are in total control *We are not travel agents so you arrange your own transport.

One of my favourite venues is the Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove. We have booked our conference & trade show there two years in a row. It has a very plush, resort feel, and yet the attention to detail and service for business functions and events is superb. There are two purpose-built function areas that suit a myriad of function styles. In addition, the lagoon-side beach is spectacular for dinner, or drinks. It’s “away from the crowd”, yet easy to reach for anyone flying in to either the Brisbane or Gold Coast airports, and has plenty of parking. Staff are FABulous! Every time I needed anything, it seemed that I would just turn around and there they’d be – ready to make changes as needed with no complaints or extra charges, too. Love it!

Our favourite meeting venue in Australia that we have booked and you have not showcased in a famil tour or a Familclub showcase event (to my knowledge) is the Swissotel in Sydney (city). The Swissotel offers fantastic service, amazing food and great conferencing facilities. The hotel rooms are very plush and they have an executive floor that has a bar with cocktail and canapés each evening that the executive just  love. www.swissotel.com.au
Thank you

Hi Dannii
It has been 7 years since we did a famil tour to the Swissotel venue but you are right we will ask them if they want to host a famil group.

Regards Robert

Hi Robert - If you are looking outside Sydney, we have used the Kennedy Room in Canberra a few times and have found it to be fantastic. It is brand new and has amazing food, a great space and décor. The service is also really good.

Another one that you may not know about but is really cute is the Dome in Surry Hills. Small but very well done. It is good for night functions and they also have a few hotel rooms above.

I would like to recommend “Sancta Sophia College” located in Missenden Road, Camperdown as a unique venue that in my opinion you should showcase.

Our association has booked “Sancta Sophia College” several times in the past few years and it has become one of our favourite meeting venues for uniqueness, location and facilities.

Hoping that my recommendation meets with your expectations ...

Thanks Jose Machado - Administration Officer NAPWA

From weird and wonderful weddings, marine-themed meetings to creepy crawly cocktail parties, UnderWater World can do it all. We have had Giant Japanese Spider Crabs moulting their shells during a wedding and the birth of a critically endangered Grey nurse shark during a tour – now they are events the participants won’t forget in a hurry!
