The Special Event in San Diego January 28 – 30 2009.

Prior to the event taking place each January (somewhere in the US – next year it is in New Orleans), there are three days of ISES meetings, where the organization reviews its operations and activities. I am currently the Chair of the International Relations Committee, which encompasses the global organization outside of the US.

In addition to this I was awarded the CSEP (Certified Special Events Practitioner) for life. The only one in existence in Australia.

The Special Event- San Diego
Event professionals from throughout the world gathered in San Diego for what is recognized as one of the largest Conferences and Expos in the industry on the planet.

The event was held in the San Diego Convention Centre. The education program included seminars including “Masters of Disasters”, “Wedding Emergencies Solved”, “Events in Tents”, “Event Trends 2009”,
“The Hottest Costume Trends in Europe, the Middle East and Asia”, “How to Green your Event” and “How to enter Gala Awards and Win”.
There was the Opening General Session with the announcement of the Table Top Gallery competition, the sold out Wedding Luncheon. The welcome event was staged at the trendy night club - On Broadway.

Unique Displays and Decor Impressed the delegates throughout

Over 5,000 experienced the Expo and some of these attended the seminars series
